The first time

I just got back from two weeks of Japan's trip. So I managed to post the good news. I'm so happy that I'm allowed to share the good news with you all. Finally! This is something BIG for me. Ok. Long to short. I submitted few cards to Paper Crafts couple months ago and one of the got chosen. Yes! So here's my card.

My card were also mentioned in Papercraft website as newbies for the issue: Volume 10. Thank you for Susan and the rest of the team for giving me a chance and this is definitely a big encouragement for me to produce more good works in future. And also Angeline Yong and Marlene too. 

I loved the simplicity of this card and also the band aid die. I picked out a little piece of gingham pattern paper from a bunch scrap paper. It is unfortunate that it only offer delivery to U.S. addresses.

The Play Date Cafe PDCC #95

I hopefully this will be my last post for today as I don't want to spam you guys with all my updates.

As for this challenge, I decided to play with the challenge that set by PDCC. This is my first time and hopefully will have time to join again in the future challenges. And again, this color palette definitely seldom come across my mind and I truly enjoyed myself in the making.

Navy...Bubblegum...Leaf Green

Very sweet color palette indeed. Love the navy. Love the bubblegum. Love the leaf green. Adorable. My entry in this challenge is No.80.

I impressed SU! navy cardstock with PTI's sunshine impression plate which it gives the beautiful circle impression. Love it.

Embossed Flower Colors Trend Challenge

Embellish always have this amazing color combo which I seldom create with. This gave me a chance to step out from my comfort zone and add new color combo in my color's list. Truly inspire.

This will be my second post for the second challenges.Embossed Flower Colors Trend Challenge gives us the opportunity to dry/ heat emboss flowers along with unique color palette. Here's my work for this challenge.

I ran the flower die cut with a embossing folder and after I realized the impression is not what I expected, I used my bone folder to draw the lines at the petals.

It's been while that I do any card making's challenges. Spotted three challenges yesterday and decided to take the challenges. Here's my first take at CAS-usla Fridays' challenge CFC16. It is my first time to join this challenge and looking forward to join in the future as well.   *My entry in this challenge is No.131.Two cards in total. Make sure you scroll all the down :)

Here's my creation for this challenge. 

Heat embossed the background with clear embossing powder and PTI's Background Basic: Vines stamp set.


Note: I originally submitted the following card for PDCC#95 challenge and noticed this design also fit both  CFC #16 as well. So I decided to submit this card to participate in CFC #16. :)

Color Cue {9} Challenge

Hello, everyone! Surprise or not. This is the second post for today. Again, here's my first take at Color Cue {9} Challenge

Here's my take for this challenge...

At first, I drew a white frame with white gel pen but I decided to apply glitter glue over it after that. I had to admit that it didn't really look appeal to me or even everyone. I guess it was a mistake to apply the glue glitter :(

I embossed the pink cardstock with SU! Manhattan Flower embossing folder and applied glitter glue around the outline.

Last but not least, I've to admit that I definitely fail a big time in updating my blog. I'll try keep my best to let my poor blog to be active. Enjoy reading!

Embellish Color Challenge Vintage

It's my first try at Embellish Color Challenge Vintage. I decided to make this card right after I saw this challenge today. And to be honest, this color combo is not the usual color combo that I would think of. It took me a while to create this card since I've been away from making cards for quite some times. My skill is getting a bit rusty *aiks.

I'm not sure how vintage-y look can I create from this color combo. So, I tried to create bit and piece individually and see whether they can match together. Ha! I personally think that I can do better than this but Gah! My brain was dried up after a good hour sitting in the craft room and scratched my head. :"I just don't know what else I can put in." Anyhow, it's definitely a challenge for me and I enjoyed it. 

The base cardstock is from SU, pattern paper is from K & Company, border punch from Martha Stewart, and the rest materials are from PTI.

Crazy 4 Challenges- C4C34

I promise this will be my last post for today. Last night was a challenging night for me. I found challenges happening around so I decided to spend some time on it. This was my first time participate at Crazy 4 Challenges and it was fun. I found myself going all out by taking things to another level- online sketching challenges. This might just be a good way to discovering ideas you never thought you could come up with!

C4C: We are doing a different challenge this week. The CRAZY girls have made cards this week using WHATEVER they wanted!!! There were no rules for us.........but for you....there are rules!! LOL!! Your challenge is to choose one of the CRAZY girls cards posted here today and CASE it! That's easy huh?!? You can CASE the layout, theme, colors or the whole card!!! Whatever works for you!

I picked the layout that created by Lori Boyd. Here is my card:

And again, I used the same pattern papers that I used at here and here. This probably is not a good take of the photo, maybe will try to re-take again tonight.

Besides that,

I also gave each cards a 'Original Handmade With Care' stamp from Hero Arts. Aren't they cute? It's just like the care label at our clothes. I also colored the little heart with SU! red marker.

Taylored Expression Sketch Challenge #110

I often participate in Taylor's Sketch Challenge. I missed TESC #109 but not this time. I sort of limited myself by creating cards with only 3 pattern papers. You can find here and here that I created those cards with using these 3 pattern papers. This wasn't in my plan but eventually I just match my other cards with lovely color of pattern papers (detail will be updated).

One layer card challenge

My craft table is in a mess and when I saw Kristina's One layer card challenge, I knew it was gonna be a challenge because you have to bear in mind that this is a 'One-layer' card project. No ribbons, no buttons, no nothing. The stamp set that I used for this card is Something Sweet from SU!. Some faux stitching, glitter powder and stamping. That's about it.

All my materials are from SU! I'll update all the details soon. Some of the hearts are brighter than others because I added clear craft lacquer to create crystal effect (from SU!). I'll try to take some close-up shots of them and upload soon.

Besides that, I also participated in Kristina's Finally Friday- The 5 Items on My Desk Challenge of using 5 items that are within reach (on my craft table). I thought, O-hoo, I'm so gonna participate in this too! This definitely was a challenge and it certainly puts your creativity to the test. So, here's what I came up with:

The five items that I used were: a sentiment that I created few weeks ago and never used, ribbon, small piece of green cardstock and a craft cardstock with pattern paper on.

M's Sketch #3

I was chatting with Marlene yesterday and we tried to compete who have the messier craft room. I said mine. I told her that my papers are all around the floor and bed. Seriously. I need to be more organize on this.

She was laugh out loud and told me that I should participate M's Sketch #3 to compete with sweetpeas around the world to see who have the messier room ever. *evil smile . Somehow, I felt a bit funny to show people out there how messy my craft room is *cough I just received my new stamp set from PapertreyInk this morning *wheee. It was so much to play with this cute stamp set. So, here's my card for this sketch :)

I rotated the sketch from portrait to horizontal layout. I added some glitter on the tulips as well after I colored them with my old school's marker pen. After that, I drew some outline with my white gel pen. To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed with my faux stiching on this card. It didn't turn out what I really want and due to the warm weather, I can't really concentrate *blame the weather.. haha Oh well.. Hope you girls like it :)

TESC#86 Card 4

This will be the last card I made for the challenge. My friend ordered a card that special made for her nephew's 1st birthday. The craft pattern paper is from Jillibean and the monkey is from Taylor's Beary Special stamp set. I faux stitched the bottom three circle with white pen as the brads. Haha.. not sure whether it make any sense to y'all or not.

TESC#86 Card 3

Here's the third card that I created for this challenge. Again, I punched out 2 different color card stocks with circle scallop punch. After I punched them out, I cut along the scallop edge.

The sentiment that I used is from Taylor's From the love of cupcakes stamp set. SUH-Sweet! Love the stamp set.

Here's the second card for TECS#86. This card is more sweet and girly because of the icre cream :)


All the card stocks are from SU! and I punched out 3 scope of ice cream with circle scallop punch. The sentimen is from SU! as well.

I was able to participate Taylor's challenge. Here's my first card for the challenge. Finally I have chance to sit down and make some cards.

The pattern paper is from Making Memories and all other card stocks are from SU! The bear image that I used is from Taylor's Beary Special stamp set and for the sentiment, it's from the same stamp set as well. I also drew faux stitches along the sentiment and brown brads at the bottom.

I added some glitter powder from SU! at the wings. Hmmph.. but can't really see the effect in here. Probably I have practice more on photo taking. Hehe..OR... a more professional camera.. hehe.

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #17

Hello October!! :) Yes! I challenged myself again with Dawn's color challenge. Here's my card for the challenge. I created this card from scrap papers. Hehe.. the size of the scrap paper is small.So, it is ideal to create into gift card's size. The finish size for this card is 3 1/2" x 2 1/2". Once again, amazing color combo to create with.

I'm at the Top 13!!!

The internet back home is playing up lately. So, I have to come to uni to do work and surf internet. Before start do my report, as usual. I read blogs, check news, fb (40 minutes gone :p). I checked up with Kristina's blog (my fav!!) and she finally did the round up for KW's Color Challenge #53. I'm in the Top Thirteen!! I can't believe I'm in top thirteen! :D I'm here to share the glory with you all (even tho there're no present involve)!! Yay! My card is at the second row, the 4th card from the left. KW Color Challenge #53

Actually I created this card about two weeks ago and out of sudden, I realize that this card actually got all these colors for this challenge. How cool is that! So, I took the card out and re-touch a bit. Color the boy's shirt and girl's hair bow more yellow (was light yellow before this).

KW Color Challenge #51

Another KW's color challenge. I did struggle a bit with the color combination + my design. I'm not saying that I dislike the color, I love it, is just too many ideas running in my head. I got stuck at the end. Anyway, I did try my best and still managed to come out with two different designs. Enjoy!
