In about 4 days time, it's world's XOXO's day. Or whatever. Valentine's day is approaching and unless some stroke of whirlwind romance hits me, I will be alone this year.

This is fine with me because I do not mind to share the love with my family. With steak and red wine and/ or some chocolate fondue perhaps. Ha!

Now, with Valentine's day being just a few days away, the love bug finally decided to hit me recently. I managed to made few love love cards and honestly. I love it! Instead of sitting there and watching tv, I decided it's about time to pick up the tools and make some cards. No regrets. Very simple and clean design for this time.

Ideas were flying around the room the other night and I came out with this....

I was also super inspired after created the first card, and couldn't wait to use the same technique by die-cutting the alphabets and create another valentine's card.

It's definitely simple and clean design for this time. Simple and clean are usually not my design style yet I need to learn to be 'simple minded' some time.

Maybe I should post some of the details of the cards. It seem very simple and I tell ya... it is simple to make. I'm sure your partner will value it so much if you decide to make something (card, cake, cupcake etc.) for her/him. I'm not saying you must create something like this but at least some words that will cheer up his/her day. Be creative.

Ready for much more easier and simple card? I'm ready and I'm surprise with the outcome. Love... love it! I think it's only takes about 6 minutes to create each cards below.

Good grief, that was fast and easy. I think I'm in love. Happy indeed!! I hope with this post, it will inspire you, you, you and you... to do/make something special for your loves one. Mom, dad, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, neighbor, nephews, nieces, friends or even your kitty kitty cat or pup! Anyone.

Finally got my hands in craft

... and glue.. and cut..and punch...yeappp! Few more weeks till Christmas.

I made all these Christmas cards at a lovely friend of mine, Marlene's place on last Friday for a Christmas bazaar. We challenged each others to make at least 24 cards (at least). We had a great laugh when the clock hits 2 am in the morning and we still have few things to touch up. So basically both our challenges kinda failed... in a good way :) need to sleep.

So...you'd get this if you get challenge up at midnight...

I played around with my new PTI's stamp set. Love the simplicity and Marlene is kind enough to lend me her baker twine.

... a "merry Christmas"

The original of this card is without the berries die... and I thought..'it looks kinda bored'. So that's the reason I decided to add on the berries and leaves die cut.

... a "Holiday Greeting"

I didn't expect this card will look gorgeous with this patter paper. The leaves in the patter paper are glittery and just love the red, black, gold color combination.

... a "Peace be with you"

Decided to leave it as it is. Again, love the simplicity of all the cards above. Even though it took some time for me to apply the foam tape at behind of the tiny slimm-y font die, it worth doing it when I know the outcome is gonna be awesome.

Anyhow, I managed to sell two sets of these cards (3 pcs in one set) and few old cards during the Christmas bazaar on last Sunday. It was a great experience for me. I didn't earn big money but earned the experiences. Thank you to an aunt who been doing this years now. She told me, "as a crafter, never give up easily. Life is all about learning and experiencing disappointment, it doesn't mean end of the world. You just have to keep going and keep trying."- Thank you for the reminding, auntie. I will keep that in mind. Never give up but keep trying.

November gonna end in few more days. Geez.. time flies. Few more weeks till Christmas and I need to send all the Chirstmas cards out before it is too late.

Midnight work

I made these couple nights ago before go to bed. When I woke up the next morning, 'geeez...did I make these?' One of my favorite time to make cards.Ha! Here's my take.

This is one and only card that I made during my last visit back to Sydney in September this year. I got all the supplies when I go to a craft store. *excuses *wink :)

The first card was the one that I made during the night.

Then I realized the brown color is too strong so here's the second take which I slightly changed the color combo. It can be better. Pattern and color combo's wise.

Next up is a 'thank you' card by using the same stamp set. I creates a little window on it and stamped the sentiment inside. And I also added a little diamond sticker at the center of the patter.

'Hello Friend' is from the same stamp set that I used for the two cards above but in different color combo and pattern design.Love the simplicity.

Last but not least, a tutu onesie card for my girlfriend who just gave birth to a baby girl.

I hand-cut the onesie shape out from a patter paper and adhered some buttons, blings and of course, the tutu!!! At first, I only adhere one layer of tutu but on the second thought, 'this is not enough for the puff'. More tutu please!!

I was inspired from the tutu dress that my dearly friend, Li-ya who made a tutu dress for her little jellybean a while ago. Love her creativity. Love the cuteness.

Good day, everyone!

It's already the first October!

I hope you all are doing good wherever you at and having a great time with your loves one. For the past few weeks, I was busying at work and... at home as well. My brother, SIL and nephew had moved to Miri and were staying with us while waiting their apartment is undergoing renovation. So we all who included my parents (the grandparents for Laurence) were busy playing with him. All good though (:

Anyway, SIL had requested a 1 month birthday card for brother's friend's baby boy. So I decided to make one after back from supper with brother's family (:

I cut the cardstock into an onesie shape. Cuteee (: I die cut and colored the little truck and paired it with two buttons. At first, my plan was keep it simple but decided to put the scallop edge around the sleves. I'm not sure whether it is a good decision or not but hope the recipient will like it.

Sorry for the poor lighting :p

For the second card, I actually made the stripes background a while and left them on the table for quite some times. Before I sleep, I decided to give them a home. haha. So here's my take.

Notice the measure tap ribbon? Love it. I got it from a craft store while I last visited Sydney.

*Note: You may notice that photos as below are brighten than usual. It's because I didn't have the time to take photos before work. So I only able took photos for them during noon. It's bright and sunny and windy...

I made these bookmarks a while ago and I only realized I didn't take photos of them. Here they are :) 4 different designs. I simply love each of the designs.

Besides, I also made a notebook which matching with the card that I made him few days ago. I haven't have the chance to send this present yet. :p Hope he will the notebook :)

Last but not least, more baby cards, baby boy to be specific :) I bought these stickers a while back and decided to make full use of them. Very inexpensive.

I apologized for the shadow. I tried my best to take photo of it while it was windy during that time. Yet, hope you guys still like the cuteness of it. :)

As for this challenge, I decided to play with the challenge that set by PDCC. This is my first time and hopefully will have time to join again in the future challenges. And again, this color palette definitely seldom come across my mind and I truly enjoyed myself in the making.

I impressed SU! navy cardstock with PTI's sunshine impression plate which it gives the beautiful circle impression. Love it.

Embossed Flower Colors Trend Challenge

Embellish always have this amazing color combo which I seldom create with. This gave me a chance to step out from my comfort zone and add new color combo in my color's list. Truly inspire.

This will be my second post for the second challenges.Embossed Flower Colors Trend Challenge gives us the opportunity to dry/ heat emboss flowers along with unique color palette. Here's my work for this challenge.

I ran the flower die cut with a embossing folder and after I realized the impression is not what I expected, I used my bone folder to draw the lines at the petals.

Hello!

I hope you all blessed weekend! I know I did. My church had this '3 times a year' blood donation's event yesterday so I went after a good nap. In fact, I was the second last who registered before they close the counter. Phew.

Here's the photo. eeeeek

Note: My friend, a nurse, told me this is the standard size of need for sucking the blood out. In fact, there's a bigger needle.So she recommended me go and try the larger size. No way!

Anyhow, I felt good because I know my blood could save a life out there.

At night, before go to bed, I decided to make some cards last night because it seems like the tools were 'waving their hands' with me. Ha! Talk about imagination :). Here's my take of the night.

I've been giving excuses for not making cards lately. Friends were all worried and kept on remind me 'hey, don't forget to make cards else your blog is rusty!' I finally promised myself yesterday, at least make one card. One card.

Guess what. Instead of one, I made four cards at the end. It's been a while that I make any cards since months ago. Geez. It actually took me a while to complete even one. Due to my 'complicated' minded, I hardly make a simple card. Simple as, one or two cutting, less stamping, less layers, not too much colors mixing around. In terms of 'simple', I think maybe it's too simple. I don't know. What do you think?

Baptism on July 17, 2011

Woke up at 6.30 in the morning and reached church at 6.45 a.m. The ceremony started at 7.10 a.m. with approx. 17 brother and sister- in christ in the list. Very nervous yet excited.

I got myself baptized today at church!! I think this is one of the best decision that I ever made. Praise the Lord!!

And...

I got myself a yellow line parking summon too during lunch with fellow church friends. It's not a very proud thing to share but oh well.:p Ha!!! Policemen acted very efficient lately when Raya is just around the corner.

Anyway, it was a good day for me and the summon drama thing is just a lesson from Father in heaven, that is, never-ever try to park your vehicle at yellow line at hot spot even though it's quick meal.

All these three movies are different themes and styles. It makes me cry and believe me. It's worth to watch :) You can find tones of review about all these three movies,

The Blind Side. A true story of Michael Ohren, a homeless African-American boy who became a successful football player nowadays. I enjoyed myself watching this movie.

Precious. It is just too powerful for tears. I truly highly recommend you to watch!!! No fast forward, no pause. I just simply enjoy every second of this movie. This is truly inspire movie to watch and think how lucky are we now.

The Lovely Bonds. Again, this is my personal interest, I kinda like it. Mystery yet sad. You kinda have to watch to the end then you only able to find the truth. Patient is recommend for this movie because it's kinda long.

It's been a while since my last post. Sorry about that!! My creativity just died (or I should say.. ideas overloaded!) and I had to take a step back. I've been working on wedding invitation cards, birthday cards and I found that it was really fun and challenging too!! Luckily my client, Hilda who basically made my life so much easier. She was the one who asked me , do whatever I think it's good, as long as the card is presentable. Ha! Thanks love for giving me the opportunity to be part of your big day :) So I managed to post the cards out last week and I got a happy client at the end!! :D

I got the mirror frame from Ikea then just added some embellishments and die cuts. I think probably this is not my best but I'm glad she like it.

My Chinese New Year cards that I made for the relatives. It's a flower pot just in case you're wondering.They just have to pull the flowers up to read the message. I got this idea from the internet. Everyone were impressed with this :)

Hi my dear readers, I have been missing in action for quite a while. I know... I know... I haven't been updating my blog for a while for some reason. Ha! I made some works in the past few months, and it's either I didn't or I forgot to take a photo of them before I gift them out. *crap* Lately, the pain of my left ear drum is killing me. Color Cue {9} Challenge

Hello, everyone! Surprise or not. This is the second post for today. Again, here's my first take at Color Cue {9} Challenge

Here's my take for this challenge...

At first, I drew a white frame with white gel pen but I decided to apply glitter glue over it after that. I had to admit that it didn't really look appeal to me or even everyone. I guess it was a mistake to apply the glue glitter :(

I embossed the pink cardstock with SU! Manhattan Flower embossing folder and applied glitter glue around the outline.

Last but not least, I've to admit that I definitely fail a big time in updating my blog. I'll ~~try~~ keep my best to let my poor blog to be active. Enjoy reading!

Embellish Color Challenge Vintage

It's my first try at Embellish Color Challenge Vintage. I decided to make this card right after I saw this challenge today. And to be honest, this color combo is not the usual color combo that I would think of. It took me a while to create this card since I've been away from making cards for quite some times. My skill is getting a bit rusty *aiks.

I'm not sure how vintage-y look can I create from this color combo. So, I tried to create bit and piece individually and see whether they can match together. Ha! I personally think that I can do better than this but Gah! My brain was dried up after a good hour sitting in the craft room and scratched my head. :"I just don't know what else I can put in." Anyhow, it's definitely a challenge for me and I enjoyed it.

The base cardstock is from SU, pattern paper is from K & Company, border punch from Martha Stewart, and the rest materials are from PTI.

I absolutely love my holidays. Now that Semester is over, I'm just waiting to sit for my one and only paper before I am officially done with Uni. Now that I've got slightly more time on my hands than others, I'm finding myself perpetually cramping in my craft room once again. And this time I approached my ideas differently through sewing. It isn't surprising, the amount of times I've poked my fingers *ouch*. I made six (6) cards in total. For the first card, I created a quilted background and die cut it with SU! top note die.

After which I had the background cut out. I then tied it with brown grosgrain ribbon and punched out the sentiment with big oval punch and scallop oval punch.

Nothing to impress you all, but just a little novelty here. It involves a little bit of sewing and it's actually pretty fun. I bought a pack of felt from a craft store and decided to create something out of them. For the first four cards, I cased one of the card that Dawn created a while ago. Thank you Dawn for the permission :). I love how the works turn out. Absolutely lovely. Like I said, it's nothing too special apart from the pairing of a felt flower to a matching color. Hehehe. I made the flowers and the cards in such a way the color theme complimented one another. Here are some pictures of each individual cards.

'Any stamper knows that you can never have enough sentiments?'- from PTI. This is so true and I believe I can't agree more. Do you see the sentiment? It's a new stamp set from PTI called Inside and Out: Thank you. The phrase and its saying is sooo perfect for any thank-you cards. And it is easy as 1-2-3.

This how the flowers look like. A poppy pin at the back. You can pin them anywhere. Bags, clothes, anywhere. This is my first attempt at them and I know I'll be creating more in the future; but with more materials to decorate them, like fur, leaves etc. Or you can attach it with a ribbon so it hangs at the door, mirror. Anywhere. :)

Last but not least,

Isn't this cute? I die cut the clouds out with felt and inked the edge with SU!'s Sahara sand ink. :) I made this card specially for a very special friend of mine, a pinch of boyish-ness emphasised with a small plane. I'm really glad to have known him and wish to show how much I truly appreciate this friendship.

The title of this post isn't exactly the best.. I'll work on my creativity. Anyway, getting up for uni in the mornings just isn't my thing. I'm practically nocturnal, sleeping when everyone else gets up. And I'm quite the sleepyhead too- 6 hours of sleep just isn't enough for me. For the past few days I've been getting up at 7ish for group meetings and it is starting to take a toll on me. I get really grumpy if I don't get enough sleep, and I'm just thankful I didn't kill any of my friends and siblings. I'm just glad everything's over now.

Because I got myself a set of eye mask to relax and rid my puffy eyes! And not to mention, the horrid pimples!!

Anyway, here's my card that I made during Michey's Birthday party last Saturday. It was a card-making's party. It was fun :) More photos over here. Each of us get to do two cards and the rest is all up to us on how to design them. Fun, fun, fun.

Here's my take. I added Ranger Liquid Pearls in Silver Pearl when I got home. Just a extra touch on the cards.

Apart from that, I made a really last minute gift card for my cousin, Sin Yea who just gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Baby Jayden last week! My sister and I actually got little Jayden a few sets of clothes even before he was born.

Adiós

Pumpkin Crumble Cake

Baking is my another hobby apart for getting myself inky all over my hands. I never try this combination of pumpkin and crumble before. So, I decided to give it a try few days ago. It was a success and it tastes sweet enough to cheer you up from any bad days. Just look at the rich gold-ish color :)

Here's the recipe. Give it a try! You won't regret!

Cake:

200g butter/margarine, 180g castor sugar

3 eggs, 1 tbsp rum (it's optional if you don't like the taste of it)

200g cooked pumpkin

120ml milk, 300g self-raising flour

Crumble (mixed):

75g butter/margarine (I realized it might a bit too much, so I'll put less for next time. This is just me though)

90g soft brown sugar

120g walnuts, chopped coarsely (I used dried mixed fruits since I've them in the fridge. It tastes good as well)

3tbsp plain flour, sifted with 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

Method:

1. Cake: Mash cooked pumpkin till fine. Cream butter and sugar until light, add eggs one by one, beating well after each addition. Add rum (again, this process is optional) after that. Add mashed pumpkin, milk and stir well. Mix in flour until well combined.

2. Crumble: Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and rub into crumble.

3. Pour half of cake mixture into a greased and lined 22cm/9" round baking tin and spread to level the cake mixture. Sprinkle half of the crumbles on top and cover with the remaining half of the cake mixture. Sprinkle the remaining half of the crumbles evenly to cover the whole cake.

4. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180'C for about 1 hour until cooked and golden brown.

5. Remove, leave to cool before cutting into slices and serve.

Now, go and get yourself a nice pumpkin and start bake this easy-peepsy cake. You can alternate the ingredients according to your preferences. You just have to be creative, sometimes. :)

Card making is my well-loved hobby. My craft room is my source of comfort; I feel like I am able to release my stress and basically indulge myself in something I truly enjoy. It is where I find myself. As usual, I will focus more on my creations rather than bore you with mere words.

I stamped the cap on another piece of cardstock with Black StazOn Ink and cut them out. A slim line of glitter powder applied along the middle of the cap.

My original plan for this card was in portrait layout till I realized I made some mistake after I staple the ribbon down. I didn't leave enough space for the circle being on the top. So, I decided I changed the layout to landscape. Hopefully the recipient will like this :p

I created the shadow for the house with blender pen.

*I just a light grey marker yesterday which is good for creating shadow. I'll use that for that purpose in the future.

If you're able to find {A} friend who share the same passion with you, that would be the best thing ever that you could imaging. And what makes it even awesome that she have the same first name as yours. Double-Yay for that!! I'm introducing you, Michelle Costello. I met Mich during the meeting that we had with Dawn in March. Since then, we both still keep in touch with each others. Email, sms, tweet, hang-out. Anything.We would even sms/email each others, just to remind each others about the releasing date of PTI. Haha {::smile}

When I've any questions (or maybe problems :p) regarding card making, I know who should I go after. Haha.. SMS-ed her and she would reply as fast as she could to help me solve the problems.

I'm feeling thankful for the true blessings that happen in my life. Friends, families, siblings, cousins, I love you all.

HAPPY 100'S POST!!!

I never think I've the motivation to keep this blog alive for so long. haha

Anyway, this will be a long post with cards that I made with PTI's latest dies and stamp sets.

I played with PTI's latest stamp set and dies. What can I say. They are so yummy-licious to play with. Love. THEM! PTI rocks! Haha.. I made note pards and cards for my far far away's families and friend.

For this card, I stamped woodgrain background stamp (designed by Dawn). After that, I die cut and stamped the graduate's stamp on it. I felt want to add on a bling on it. So I added a stripe of diamond that I bought from local craft store. I'm pleased with the outcome.

I also made another graduation card for a friend who graduated recently. In terms of the color and design, this card is totally different from the previous one. Hopefully my friend will like it because I'm not too sure whether this design/ color combo will give her a heart attack. haha (hopefully not)

I kinda like the simplicity of this card. Stamp, color, embellishment and a bit blending as the shadow. Done. Simple yet cute. If you can notice at the licence plate, it said ' Birthday Boy'. Yup. I made this for one of my male friend who just had his big 30's ( i think :p) few days ago. Happy Birthday, Matt!

I made these two note pads weeks ago and didn't get to post them. Due dates of assignment just won't let me have the chance to finish making them. Butttt.. finally! Now then I realized that most of stamps are from PTI. They're just too yummm for not using them. Haha :)

Last but not least, a father's day card. I just decided to make this card when I'm cleaning the table. The stamp set is from Hero Arts that I bought a while ago. Brads are gifted from Marlene. Ribbons from SU!. Oh yes! how can I forget about the background stamp. Yes. It's the same background stamp that I used for the first card. I just arranged it in vertical layout. After stamped the background, I applied a layer of glue with glue stick and tissue paper after that.

The ribbons are not perfect. Still need some adjustment on it. But I think my dad don't mind or he won't even care about it. hahaha :D I love you, papa!!

Crazy 4 Challenges- C4C34

I promise this will be my last post for today. Last night was a challenging night for me. I found challenges happening around so I decided to spend some time on it. This was my first time participate at Crazy 4 Challenges and it was fun. I found myself going all out by taking things to another level- online sketching challenges. This might just be a good way to discovering ideas you never thought you could come up with!

C4C: We are doing a different challenge this week. The CRAZY girls have made cards this week using WHATEVER they wanted!!! There were no rules for us.........but for you....there are rules!! LOL!! Your challenge is to choose one of the CRAZY girls cards posted here today and CASE it! That's easy huh?!? You can CASE the layout, theme, colors or the whole card!!! Whatever works for you!

I picked the layout that created by Lori Boyd. Here is my card:

I also gave each cards a 'Original Handmade With Care' stamp from Hero Arts. Aren't they cute? It's just like the care label at our clothes. I also colored the little heart with SU! red marker.

I often participate in Taylor's Sketch Challenge. I missed TESC #109 but not this time. I sort of limited myself by creating cards with only 3 pattern papers. One layer card challenge

My craft table is in a mess and when I saw Kristina's One layer card challenge, I knew it was gonna be a challenge because you have to bear in mind that this is a 'One-layer' card project. No ribbons, no buttons, no nothing. The stamp set that I used for this card is Something Sweet from SU!. Some faux stitching, glitter powder and stamping. That's about it.

All my materials are from SU! I'll update all the details soon. Some of the hearts are brighter than others because I added clear craft lacquer to create crystal effect (from SU!). I'll try to take some close-up shots of them and upload soon.

I thought, O-hoo, I'm so gonna participate in this too! This definitely was a challenge and it certainly puts your creativity to the test. So, here's what I came up with:

The five items that I used were: a sentiment that I created few weeks ago and never used, ribbon, small piece of green cardstock and a craft cardstock with pattern paper on.

Mother's day and feminine cards

Once you start, you just can't stop.

I continued making more cards. I went to Kristina's blog and she mentioned that now TwoPeas is focusing on Mother's day and feminine cards. So, I made one specially for mom and the other one can be for your mother, friends, sister, anyone!

I stamped flower heart and colored them with blender pen and embossed with UTEE powder (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel).

After that, I decided to crack the heart a bit and brush brown ink into it for the antique effect. Again, forgive me for my poor photo taking skill. I also used my new border punch, Half Daisy Edger punch from Martha Stewart.

For the second card, I created with Sew Cute Singleton Stamp from Maya Road.

I stamped the background with white ink, added a bit of faux stitching around the border.

Nothing special but I added thread to give it more 'real' look. So, do you feel like sewing now? hehe. Any comments are most welcomed.

Fame and famous

Always keep me smiling when I look at those photos. I never expect that I would meet up any famous blogger or neither do any celebrity. I'm beyond excited....

When I went to Taste of Sydney last month with my sister, I met Jared Ingersoll [over joy]. Hello?? It's Jared Ingersoll who I always adore his cooking. I often see him appear at Ready Steady Cook and never ever will expect to get to meet him in person. So, I asked for his permission whether I can take photo with him. And he said 'Yes' without any second thought. Here's the photo that I took with Jared.

He also owned a restaurant named Danks Street Deport, Waterloo. I never been there before but I will, soon.

Please ingore my 'flying' hair in it [::haha] Blame the wind and my sister didn't manage to get any nice one.

I've been reading and following her craft blog for almost a year now. Her works always amazed me all the time. One day, she announced that she will travel all the from the State to Australia. Sydney is one of the lucky place she and her lovely husband, Bart will stop by for few days. And the exciting part was she organized a casual gathering at Starbucks to meet us. Now, I'm very.. I mean I REALLY excited to meet her and also other crafters.

She is Dawn, a lovely lady/ senior designer for PaperTreyInk. I didn't manage to get any closer photo with her and luckily I brought along my Polaroid with me and I asked her to kindly sign for me. Meanwhile, I also let other girls share the fun with taking Polaroid with her as well since I've some spare film with me.

How awesome is that. I'm truly blessed to have the chance to meet up these talented people with different talent.

Please forgive me with my poor photo taking's skill. I just had a long day today. I was planning to make some cards tonight but obviously it failed [eyes can barely open]

Anyway, I would love to update my deadly blog with two cards that I made last week.

1st card:

I used 2-way glue pen to add some bling effect on those clouds

2nd card:

I stamped the dress at pattern paper and cut it out. For the ribbon, I used double side tape to hold the ribbon and stapled both ends

Technically I made most of these cards last month but only completed some of them last night. I was so demotivated during that period and left them alone for so long to complete. Sorry for the super delay, darlings. Now I felt so good to have myself back to cards. My baby :) All these are yet to post it out to my dearly families and friends.

layers of glitterly wings

I made all these ornaments by myself and I quite like the outcome of it. Before this, I put them at white cardstock and it didn't have the effect or it feel like lacking of something. So I only changed the base to kraft cardstock. Hope my recipients will like it as well.

I couldn't find the flexible wire in gold color at Sydney here. My luck or what, I found them at a craft store when I went to shopping with mum and sis at Chadston's Westfield (Melbourne). That's why it took me so long to complete them because I couldn't find them at Sydney. Now it's ready to post it out.

The coordinate envelope. I used marker to color the stamp with two different colors, red and green and stamped them at the envelopes.

I only made this card last night. So it still fresh and new. hehe :) I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder at vellum cardstock. Too simple??

This one is fresh from the oven as well. I'm not really sure about this because I made this from bit and pieces. LOL :p probably need to cut short the length. Any suggestions?

I embossed the snowflakes with clear embossing powder. And for the sentiment, it's the same one as the one that I stamped at the ornament's envelope. It's just I played around with the colors and gave them a new look.

Lacking of motivation

In just the past few weeks I've been trying to stay at craft room and make some cards like what I usually do. Each time I realize it's time to make some craft goodies, it always not the case. Lacking of motivation :( Haha.. but I thank you for my friends who make orders for Christmas's card. Before I flew to Melbourne for Laurence (my newborn's nephew) full month celebration, I completed 20 out of 35 cards and I took the remaining 15cards to Melbourne just to do final touch-up. But the worst part was I forgot to take photos of them.. Arghh. So far I only got 1 card to show it to you guys. 1 card!!! I'm such a slacker nowadays. Please forgive me.

I specially made this card for my colleague, Danniel who requested a anniversary card for his 4 years's girlfriend, Charlotte, who also my colleague as well. I'm glad she like it :)

The only thing she commented was the envelope. I'm currently using those post-letter envelope for most of my orders. She would prefer those we normally purchase from gift store or card section. It makes sense. Envelopes does effect the whole quality of the card as well. I really appreciate her suggestion and I probably will change it to those thicker envelope for my future orders :) to look more professional. Anyway, more updates are their way.

I was chatting with Marlene yesterday and we tried to compete who have the messier craft room. I said mine. I told her that my papers are all around the floor and bed. Seriously. I need to be more organize on this.

She was laugh out loud and told me that I should participate M's Sketch #3 to compete with sweetpeas around the world to see who have the messier room ever. *evil smile . Somehow, I felt a bit funny to show people out there how messy my craft room is *cough I just received my new stamp set from PapertreyInk this morning *wheee. It was so much to play with this cute stamp set. So, here's my card for this sketch :)

I rotated the sketch from portrait to horizontal layout. I added some glitter on the tulips as well after I colored them with my old school's marker pen. After that, I drew some outline with my white gel pen. To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed with my faux stiching on this card. It didn't turn out what I really want and due to the warm weather, I can't really concentrate *blame the weather.. haha Oh well.. Hope you girls like it :)

Now. Maybe some of you have already watch this cute little mouse's cartoon, 'The Tale of Despereaux' last year but I just came across this movie when foxtel shows it recently. This cute mouse with unusually big eyes attracted my attention. Then, I got the chance to watch this afternoon.

I must say I'm a kid person. Love it. I would highly recommend you guys/girls to watch together with your kiddos or even Big kiddos *wink . I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Unlike so many children's film these days. :)

Hello to Baby Laurence. I believe my sis-in-law, Jasmine did a great job while theH still on his way back home panicking. According to my brother, both mother and baby are doing great, especially baby Laurence is Big baby. 3.6kg!! sad that we can't be there right now but yeah!! We all decided to fly down to Melbourne next month for his full month celebration. Guess what. The grandpa and granny are flying in as well.. They both excited to hold their first grandson. I can't believe my parents became grandparents at this stage. It's all good. I definitely looking foward to meet with baby Laurence soon. Aunty {heart} you, Laurence!! One of my friend, Shu, had ordered 35 christmas cards with 3 different designs for her friends and family. So far, I only finished 20cards, 15 more to go. First, she likes the christmas tree that I created on gift tag a while ago. So, here's what I finished so far.

Fun design and cute snowmans' design. Hope she like it. Luckily she gave me plenty of time to prepare and I do not need to rush. 15 more to finish.

Other than that, I also created two boxes for my lovely friends. Yet to be post. I'm so so sorry to the delay. I promise I'll post it out a.s.a.p. I just couldn't resist to add more stuff :p

I created these boxes from cardstock and embossed their initial with clear embossing powder.

I'm not too what's their favourite color, but hope they will like it.

Creamchesse frosting Cuppie

I baked these cupcakes about a week ago and now finally got the time to upload it. I found this recipe online and decided to give it a try. Believe me or not. I only used a quarter amount of the frosting.

So, the rest was way too much for 24 cuppies. Probably you guys can cut down the amount of frosting, else you can stick with the recipe if you love frosting.

The pattern paper is from Making Memories and all other card stocks are from SU! The bear image that I used is from Taylor's Beary Special stamp set and for the sentiment, it's from the same stamp set as well. I also drew faux stitches along the sentiment and brown brads at the bottom.

I added some glitter powder from SU! at the wings. Hmmph.. but can't really see the effect in here. Probably I have practice more on photo taking. Hehe..OR... a more professional camera.. hehe.

Love station! where people can get lovely cards that created by Marlene. She been creating lots of amazing design in the past few months. So now I am joining her in this fun work:) So, I went to get the measurement and got started not long after she replied my message. Very efficient. I created 3 designs with different theme. I took out some of my old designs and modified the size and design. After few minutes, I decided to create a mini/medium size of version from previous design.

I embossed the baby shirt with polka dot background stamp but it doesn't really show in here. Pink and purple color for babies.

I stamped my own pattern paper with floral stamp and inked the edge of the card.

The finish products: 28 cards (mix colors) and it's ready to post

After I finish making all these cards, I created a small/slimmer version of christmas tag for one of my close friend. I'm excited how she/he (to be annouce) will react when she receive this. Hehe

Baby/Christmas's Days

For past few days, I can feel that I'm totally in baby/ christmas's mood. All my cards are all about baby's theme :) I think it's because my very own nephew is on his way to this wonderful world. I can't wait to see and hold him :)

#1 card: I embossed the background with the entire stamp set with VersaMark ink; and I also got the idea of combine two different colors of ribbon from other designer.

#2 card: Coordinate colors. I stamped and cut the elephant out. I drew the bubble out by myself.

#3 card: I sketched out the moon and cut it. I got this idea from a scrapbooking magazine. I like the outcome except the piercing is not in the straight line if you notice it. :p
#4 card: a 3x3"; boy version of angel. I gave him a blush-blush face as well.

#5 card: a medium size Christmas's gift tag. Colorful brads and more shimmer on the tree. :)

I kept the ribbon long because people can either you can cut it short or tie it at gift's ribbon itself.

#6 card: I love the smiley sun, I love the scallop edges. Love it. And again, I embossed the baby shirt with dots background stamp by using VersaMark ink. Great idea for baby shower/baby's birthday invitation card.

#7 card: I'm playing with my new stamp set. I got this idea from another designer as well and modified it a bit. I wanted create the bite's edge, but failed. I will try again next time.

For the last card (#8 card), it's disaster because crystal effect glue fall off when I try to open the cap. Some of the glue just fall over the card. grrrr- . It's just... a disaster.

Glazed Lime Cake

Another baking's period within a week. Yes. I love baking cake. The cake did not turned out perfect. It turned out oily when it's still warm and worst part was the middle of the cake 'sink'!! :( I was so upset. I wanted to bake this cake as my friend's birthday present, but I changed my mind.. ummhmm.. I can't afford to embarrassing myself in front of bunch of stranger...hehe

the 'sink' :( need more practice. Surprisingly, when the cake cool down a bit (overnight), the cake doesn't taste so oily and yet my sister and cousin said this cake taste better than the blueberry crumb cake. I'm like huh'' really now...

If anyone try with this recipe, share with me :) no matter it's successful or fail, I still like to hear from y'all. Ohh... last but not least, for dinner, I baked pumpkin soup with puff pastry with everyone's name on it. Something special!!

Happy belated Mid-Autumn's Festival

This is how I celebrated this special day with my family. The rain was pouring heavily during that night and we had to queue for 15mins to get seats. The service was good, the food was good. Overall, we had a good good night :)

All of us were hungry and once we got our seats, I just ordered what attract our attention the most. Hehe.. We ordered barbecue grill set. Our table was running out of space to put all our foods on. Haha..

After that, I suggested we must get at least one mooncake to celebrate the festival. So, after dinner, we went to a chinese grocery store near by to get a box of mooncake.

We didn't get to carry our lantern because of the heavy rain. So, yeah. We all had a great night :)

I've been thinking what can I make for my cousins in KL. So, I came across the idea of post it note since they spend most of their time in office. This is what I did in one night. Great ideas and fun color combo to work with. I spent quite a lot of time on design (other than that, it's easy to make tho) but I'm very happy with the outcome:) Hope they will like it.

For your information, I'm kinda screw this up because I put the note pad and the pocket at the wrong side. So, whoever get this, please forgive me because you might have to write at the uneven surface. Sorry. I tried to take it off, but it won't allow me. Else, it will destroy the whole thing. :( sorry

Blueberry Crumb Cake

Friends. If you like blueberry just like me, you must try this recipe. Believe me. It was so easy and if you're not fancy about sweet cake, I would suggest this ideal recipe and yet you get to eat lot of blueberry in here. At first, I thought it will be veryy sweet because of the brown sugar in the crumb. But it turned out just purrr-fect! :) I would reckon that the sweetness of the this cake is acceptable. So, you girls should get rock in your kitchen with this recipe.

This cake definitely is in my favourite's list now. It's quick and easy to bake. But..hmmm// it's seem like missing out something. Ah-Ha!

Creamy milk! Now, it's extra 'boom'. Yum! It's not in the ingredient list tho. My own personal preference. :p I used frozen blueberries instead of fresh. It costs cheaper and of course more convenient. Why not, aey?

Very sloow night

Just to warn you guys, this post going to be no words, but photos of my card. The brain ain't giving me much words to write at this time. //Sowieee I created three cards in total.

This is the first card that I created for my lovely friend, Katrisha. This actually is the 3rd time that I made card for her. The first two cards gone missing during the post. We both have no idea where did go :(. Sorry for the major delay, hun :) Hope you like the little pumpkin.

Hello October!! :) Yes! I challenged myself again with Dawn's color challenge. Here's my card for the challenge. I created this card from scrap papers. Hehe.. the size of the scrap paper is small.So, it is ideal to create into gift card's size. The finish size for this card is 3 1/2" x 2 1/2". Once again, amazing color combo to create with.

Wow..so nice to sit down and make cards :) after my mum came and sis's friend stay over, I finally got time to take photos of them. I created three cards in total but one of the cards will be remain mystery because I have to wait till the receiver receive it. Hehe.. :)

Canberra's Trip 19-20/9/2009

Last minute decision. At first, I asked my mum (before she come to Sydney) whether she want to go to Canberra for Floriade. During Spring season, we have this festival, Floriade, over Canberra. She was worried about H1N1, so she said No at first. Ha! However, when she flew over, she just can't resist to say No to field of flowers. So, I rented a car and booked accommodation at very last minute. At first, we wanted to take the tour bus but is just too rush. I suggested that why not we rent a car, then I drive. We can set our own departure's time and drive around Canberra's city. Easier and convenient for us to drive to different locations.

Meantime, enjoy with the photos that we took during our -2 days 1 night- Canberra's trip. Believe me. It's worth to visit Canberra during spring season if you're a 'flower' person who just like my Mum. She said hooow she wish she could move all the flowers back to Malaysia. She wish.. Haha.. :)

We were on time for a florist arrangement class :) My mum's favorite.

After the florist arrangement's class, I found out that we have cupcake's deco right after that. Whee...my very first experience on making fondant cupcake :))

Verry productive nights

Just because I wanted to make jelly from egg shells, my mum been cooking fried rice with eggs, sandwiches with eggs for past few days. We managed to saved about 14 egg shells in 3 days. Last night, after diner, I made the jelly from jelly flakes (I just noticed I didn't have the agar-agar powder/ jelly powder at home :/) Seriously, it took so long for the jelly flakes to dissolve. I can't wait any longer. I think I started mix the food coloring when the flakes only dissolved around 70%. LOL..

I'm pretty sure I made 3 different colors and I tried to find the green one but fail. Haha.. //Memory lost.

Here's the red one... :) After this, I decided to make some cards. So, I went straight to my craft area and start digging out all my supplies and decide which design/theme should I do tonight.

I made this card two night ago. A special request from my friend. A birthday card with '25' on.

I inked the craft card stock with brown ink because I running out of brown card stock. So, I thought it will work that way. Apparently not. Geez..

Yesterday was my newphew, Jia Jun's birthday. Sorry for the late dedication. Anyway, as chinese's traditional, my mum cooked a bowl of mee sua for the birthday boy with carrot, mushroom, peas, etc (modified version of traditional mee sua). It's yummm-mmy!

Puffins

Muffins? Pancakes? ...or should I call these cute things... Puffins!! I went to gym with my family just now. After that, we went to Coles which just near by for small grocery shopping. I found a 12-holes muffin pancake pan. So cute!! So when I get back home, I straight away started making these cute puffins. Any better name for them? My mum said 'I want fruit favors'. Why not? I modified the ingredients. I made 3 favors. Blueberry + macadamia nuts, raspberry and chocolote chip.

For the chocolate chip's one, to be honest, I think I put slightly too much of chocolate chip in it. :P

I made 24 of them. The blueberry is my mum's flavorite. My sister they all claimed the raspberry is a bit sour. Then I suggested them why not we put a bit of maple syrup on them. It's Yuuuu-umm!!

A book

I went to the city with my mum and sister yesterday. We walked around in the city after lunch and after a while, I asked my mum whether she want to go in to Dymocks since we have nothing to do. So, we went to Dymocks at Martin Place. I think we spent about one and half hours in there. My mum enjoyed herself at the hobby/craft section where she found books about floristy (flower arrangement). She loves it! but when she saw the price, she put it back. I knew she want that book. Then I told her that I use my pay to buy it for her as a gift. Then, she gave me the BIG smile. haha.. Meanwhile, I also walked around in the bookstore. I went to craft/hobby, self-motivation, craft/stationary section. Oh man!! I knew I will have a hard time to decide which book and craft supply to buy. I wish I could get them all back home with me :( At the end, I picked this self-motivation book called 'Change Your Thinking'. This book mainly help you (or me) to change your perspective of whole issue when you depress or during hard situation.

I had a great time hanging out with my mum and sister :)

More gifts, more cards

A surprise gift from Marlene again. Am I lucky or what? Hehe... Many thanks to her. My mum just arrived yesterday and she passed me the parcel that Marlene pass it to her. I'm like..Wheee.. another parcel. I'm so happy when I open up the parcel. At first,

... I'm wondering -- how am I suppose to open this!. This crazy woman sewed all the borders. How? Haha.. I have to admit that she is a very creative person. I tried to tear from the top, but failed. Then, I had no choice but cutting it. :p

A greeting card and gifts from her. She told me that she got this while she still at Shanghai and it's hard to get all these pretty thing-y! Goodness. It's soooo pretty! I better use it wisely.

During that night, I decided to create some cards with the new gifts.

This is the first card that I created last night. I used the flower that I got it from Marlene and I added the brad from SU!. I'm not too sure whether this is the best outcome or what. Probably I should add a bit more of the pearl adhesive. Too pinky or what?

A lot of cutting in this star card. I cut out all the star shape from card stocks and inking and stamping the sentiment. I also submitted the this card to a challenge.

and this is the third card that I created the next day (this morning??) At first, I tried to add a green grosgrain ribbon, then I changed my mind. Instead of ribbon, I used olive green card stock. Therefore, the plan of the card changed at the end. Hope you guys like it.

I think this is for today. I'll update more tomorrow. Off to bed now. Good night...

I wanted to update my blog last night but came back home late. So, I missed it. Sorry guys. For last week, it wasn't a good week for me. I got cough and flu. After that, diarrhea for few days. Then, it's my luck or what. Yesterday, when I woke up, I felt areas like my neck, part of my body were itchy. Not till super itchy yet. So, I just ignored it. After shower, went to work. Sadly, it got more serious till afternoon. During lunch break, I got rashes around my face, neck and body. Even my co-workers also noticed it during work. So, I decided go to pharmacy and got some pills for allergy. I'm not too sure what is the cause, maybe the food? Luckily, all the rashes gone later the night.

Anyway, as usual, I made 4 cards from different suppliers. I wonder should I list down all the materials that I use for each cards? Suggestion?

First card that I made was especially for baby boy. I was so 'blue' during past few days. I guess maybe I'm gonna be aunt for my incoming nephew. We're all excited for his arrival. Can't wait to see him. Maybe I should cut the middle part shorter aey?

Second card is very obvious. It's a Christmas's card. 'Let it snow'. This time I colored Mr. Snowman very gently, tried not to touch the outline. Not too bad. I would say it's better than previous one. I made a hat for him too. :)

Third card also very obvious. It's for baby girl. Pinky pinky. I'm still practicing to tie a good bow. Sorry for the ugly bow on the card.

The last card that i made during the night. I stamped the images from two different stamp sets and embossed 'cherish' with Zing! white embossing powder. I have to say that I had some trouble when I do this card. My plan was to round all the corner before I glue them altogether- which I forgot. So, I teared the red bit and white bit gently, to reduce the damage of the paper.
